Congrats Kelly & Luke on an absolutely awesome April wedding day at Quarry Farm. So many things to love about their celebration....such a relaxed vibe, stunning florals (as always) by Blooming Besties, a modern plinth arbour, popcorn bonbonniere's and glorious late afternoon glowy light out on the fields with a few kangaroos joining us. It was a bit of an international day, with Luke and his family being New Zealanders and Kelly’s bestie making the long trip from the UK.
I love that every wedding is unique and getting to capture all of the love, laughter & emotions that they bring. These lovely souls chose a Terrace (lakeside) ceremony which was filled with so much laughter including when Kelly walked down the aisle on her dad's arm only to have Luke run back down the aisle...for a surprise costume change! Their love story was beautifully told and officiated by the gorgeous Celebrations with Holly and the vows were livestreamed for overseas guests by Vicky Komorowski.
After being announced ‘married’, we captured some family photos before making our way up the hill for the wedding party photos. I always love a Quarry Farm wedding for this section of the day with it’s epic old Fig Tree, Jacaranda Lane and the wide open fields (sunsets are stunning). Shoutout to the lads & gals that were Kelly & Luke's support crew... in charge of calming the nerves, providing the laughs & picking the ants out of Kelly's dress layers.
After snapping a wide variety of memories and moments for the newlyweds, including a sunset portrait, they entered their reception in the Homestead to continue the celebrations into the night.
Quarry Farm is absolutely worth considering if you are looking for a rustic, all-in-one venue which I am a big fan of. Having all elements of the day in the one location helps create a wonderful stress free wedding day.
